Feds fine Chesapeake for Clean Water Act violations in W.Va.

Chesapeake Energy will pay $3.2 million under a settlement with the Environmental Protection Agency and the Justice Department for violating the Clean Water Act in its operations in West Virginia's Marcellus Shale. The company will also pay $6.5 million for the restoration of wetlands and streams affected by its operations.
