Md. colleges partner to provide veteran services

Several colleges in Montgomery County, Md., have partnered for a new program to ease the transition for veterans returning to school. The Combat to College program centralizes benefit programs and services such as mental-health counseling and academic advising for veterans at the college campuses, and helps to eliminate duplicate services. "By working with the schools, we've been able to identify what is out there and find the means to share that effort," the initiative's coordinator Michael Subin said.
