Next Generation Science Standards to roll out in D.C. schools

Students attending public schools in the District of Columbia soon will be learning about science under the Next Generation Science Standards. The standards -- recently adopted by the District's board of education -- are expected to be fully implemented by the 2016-17 school year. Eight other states have adopted the new standards.
