S.D. students build "Little Free Libraries"

Technical-education students in a cabinet-making class at South Dakota's Yankton High School have built nine "Little Free Libraries" to promote literacy in the community. The birdhouse-like customized structures will be stocked with books and placed throughout town, and the goal is for readers to take one, read it and bring it back. The 14-week project united the students, who said that learning to work together was their favorite part of the assignment.
