Texas school to use mobile math lab to teach financial literacy

Educators at an elementary school in Texas soon will teach students about financial literacy and real-world applications for math via a mobile math laboratory. Beginning in the spring semester, the math lab will give students opportunities to use play money in simulated settings, such as restaurants and banks. "This will be a great opportunity for the kids to have hands-on examples of using math in a real life situation," principal Kresha Lane said.
