Study: Nutritional supplement may benefit older people

A potent nutritional supplement appears to help improve the health and boost the immune system function of older people in nursing homes, according to a new study. Researchers found that patients who took 8 ounces daily of a supplement of antioxidants, minerals and other nutrients had fewer fevers and were less likely to require antibiotics than those given a standard nutritional supplement.
