S&P cuts send shock waves through bond-insurance market

Standard & Poor's cut its credit rating for troubled bond insurer ACA Financial Guaranty Corp. to junk status and warned other bond insurers that their ratings could be cut as well. The loss of a triple-A rating for some bond insurers could wipe out their business and cut the ratings of hundreds of securities backed by the insurers.
