Study finds genetic link between leprosy, Crohn's disease

Chinese researchers said there are genetic links between leprosy and Crohn's disease, with at least two leprosy genes strongly associated with the inflammatory bowel disease. Other researchers cautioned such studies may not identify genetic causes but rather point to specific genes that may be targeted in drug development.
