Study: Georgia could save cash by investing in clean energy

Georgia and neighboring states could save up to $23 billion on their electricity bills in the long run by paying a little extra now to support the renewable-energy sector, according to Georgia Tech researchers. Southern states are lagging Northern states in renewable-energy use, the researchers say, and the lack of renewable options could drive up rates in coming years.
