Food hubs in Michigan bring together farmers and food-service providers, such as hospitals and schools, that want to emphasize locally grown and healthy produce. State officials say they see food hubs as good for the economy and important for reaching the Michigan Good Food Charter goal of having 20% of food that is bought in Michigan come from state producers.
