More online shoppers leave without buying

Total online sales are still on the rise, but more consumers are leaving sites without making a purchase, according to survey firm iPerceptions. About 54% of online shoppers made a purchase in the third quarter, down from 63% in the same period last year, the survey found, with 35% saying they couldn't find the item they were looking for and 34% saying the product they wanted to buy was out of stock.
