November rates, occupancy go up at Orlando, Fla., hotels

Data released by STR show the Orlando, Fla., hotel industry maintained steady growth in November, with a 4.3% increase in average daily rate, to $92.66. Occupancy rose to 63.8%, compared with 60.2% in November 2010. The greater central Florida area benefited last month from strong convention and meetings business, posting a 10.6% rise in revenue per available room.
