Michigan needs to focus on harnessing electricity from nuclear, coal and natural gas facilities instead of pursuing wind energy, which is expensive and unreliable, writes Kevon Martis, senior policy analyst for the Interstate Informed Citizens Coalition of Blissfield. Nuclear power is the sole source of emissions-free generation that can provide abundant, cost-effective and reliable electricity, Martis writes.
