China declines to halt production of chicken jerky treats

Rep. Jerry McNerney, D-Calif., requested that the Chinese government consider stopping production of the chicken jerky treats that have been linked to illness and death in U.S. dogs, but the Chinese government responded with criticism of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's investigation. Chinese officials suggested that the FDA probe was inadequate and warnings about the treats were unfounded.
