Coalition to work on data system to reduce ICU errors

Reducing complications in intensive care units is the goal of a coalition of institutions, including the Mayo Clinic and the U.S. Critical Illness and Injury Trials Group. The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation awarded $16 million to the group to create a cloud-based medical decision support system to monitor information and alert medical professionals if it detects a potential problem.
