Only 500 travelers at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, Calif., were approved for the Transportation Security Administration's PreCheck program, which just launched at the airport. The expedited screening skips certain security checks for pre-authorized fliers, most of which are frequent fliers on airlines such as Alaska, American, Delta, United, and US Airways, along with others in the Global Entry program.
