Berlin's tourism industry is thriving as it puts the remnants of its dark history to use as culturally rich destinations for visitors, this feature says. Dance hall Clärchens Ballhaus, which opened in 1913, is home to a new generation of club-goers, while the former Tempelhof Airport terminal built during the Nazi regime draws tourists as an inviting public park.
