Ariz. district looks to extend learning before, after school

An Arizona school district is considering starting academic and recreational before- and after-school programs for students. Potential courses include computerized tutoring, book clubs, art and recreation. "Addressing the social, emotional, academic, physical needs of our students beyond the school day (and) providing opportunities for our parents in our school district is something that is truly exciting," Superintendent Denton Santarelli said.
