Fall enrollment down at many schools in Md., Va., and D.C.

Fall enrollment at many colleges and universities in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia declined, according to an analysis of nearly 80 institutions by The Washington Post. The newspaper found 20 institutions where enrollment had dropped more than 5% since 2010, with some schools seeing a dip of more than 10%. Enrollment drops were seen at a variety of schools, including historically black colleges and liberal arts schools, the analysis showed.
