New York Regents Propose Moving Funds To Close Achievement Gap

The New York State Board of Regents yesterday proposed cutting state funding to wealthier districts by 5% to 15% and reallocate it to poorer districts. The board said it would lift restrictions on spending for school districts to allay potential opposition from districts that would lose funding.
