Dulles Airport authority moves to take over rail project

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, which runs Dulles International Airport, has moved to take over the state-run Dulles Toll Road in Virginia in order to make sure the troubled rail line project for the road to the airport moves ahead. The proposal would take over current construction for a rail line along the road and could block efforts to privatize the highway; airport officials say they could build the rail line faster than current plans.
