Illinois site picked for advanced $1.5B coal plant

A site near Mattoon, Ill., has been selected out of three options for the $1.5 billion FutureGen coal-fired power plant. The site was selected because the storage area for captured carbon dioxide is meant to be under the plant and the builders were able to get clear legal title to it.
