Congress has approved funding for several travel-related programs that would finance border-security enhancements as well as upgrades at top U.S. international airports. The measure is part of an omnibus appropriations bill that Congress cleared before recessing Wednesday for the holidays. President George W. Bush is expected to sign the bill into law. "We are extremely pleased that the House and Senate have included important provisions in the omnibus bill, which have a significant impact on the travel and tourism industry," Joseph McInerney, president and CEO of AH&LA, said in a statement.
