Texas hospital uses handheld devices to eliminate errors

Mission Regional Medical Center in Texas will use technology from San Diego-based IntelliDOT Corporation to eliminate bedside errors in phlebotomy specimen collection. The software allows clinicians to receive alerts on handheld devices so they don't have to travel back and forth between the laboratory to pick up labels.
