Analysts say TALF succeeded in some areas, failed in others

The Federal Reserve's Term Asset-Backed Securities Loan Facility, developed to revive the securitization market, has seen some successes, analysts said, but it needs to ramp up in other areas. While TALF helped restore consumer asset-backed securities, the market of commercial mortgage-backed securities continues to struggle.
