Boeing 787 flight testing moves ahead

After an interruption last June because of the need for side-of-body modifications, Boeing is moving forward with its 787 flight test program. Type certification will be due in eight to nine months, followed by first-of-model testing and delivery to launch customer All Nippon Airways. Type inspection authorization will represent the beginning of full-time FAA involvement, and Boeing should have three 787s in flight test by then.
