Educator: Make teacher tenure harder to obtain

Teacher tenure is too easy to obtain, and there should be a process through which teachers can receive it, a California teacher writes in this blog post. While she says that teacher tenure is important and necessary, it should not be awarded based solely on two years of service. Instead, the most qualified, effective teachers should receive tenure -- a reward for a job well done.
