Groupon makes coupons a social effort

Chicago startup Groupon is bringing the coupon concept to Facebook, Twitter and other networking sites with partners such as the NBA, Zipcar and Blockbuster, and an updated version of the old-school marketing tool. For Groupons, the number of customers for each daily deal must reach an agreed-upon quota or the marketer withdraws the offer.
