Hiring of temporary workers grows in U.S.

In what might be a sign that the job market is starting a comeback, U.S. employers added 52,000 temporary workers last month, marking the fourth consecutive month of increase for temp hiring. In previous recessions, permanent workers were added after two or three months of increasing temp hiring. This time, employers said they are waiting for a little more assurance that the economy truly is recovering before adding permanent workers.
