Sen. Dodd tries new strategy to come to terms on regulatory overhaul

A month ago, Sen. Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., chairman of the Senate banking committee, proposed a massive overhaul of financial regulation. Then, Dodd paired four Republicans and four Democrats on his committee to work toward reshaping the bill. The process is expected to continue through January. While plenty of critics have lashed out at Dodd's effort, it has been welcomed by the financial industry.
