Web-based video could throw retail market wide open

All bets are off when it comes to what types of companies might end up selling subscriptions to Internet-based video services -- also known as over-the-top video -- according to an analyst at The Diffusion Group who sees all sorts of retailers moving into the field. General manager Andy Tarczon said the opportunities for selling OTT services are broader than for traditional video because a provider just needs a broadband pipe to enter the business.
