Women-owned franchises seen as "untapped" resource

While franchising continues to be dominated by men, the ranks of women in the sector are growing, reports The Franchise Magazine. "Women-owned businesses contribute one-fifth of all small business output and represent a vast untapped resource for the franchising sector," said Clive Sawyer, chairman of Encouraging Women into Franchising, a new group dedicated to recruiting women and expanding their franchises.
