Blumenthal: ONC panel will focus on proposed universal language

A Dec. 8 report from the White House, issued by the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, urged ONC to put together an advisory panel to focus on implementation of a number of White House ideas, which include a common electronic health record format and language. "We are going to move forward with a great deal of aggressiveness on health information exchange and interoperability, and even faster than we had expected based on the council's report," said Dr. David Blumenthal, national HIT coordinator.
