If you've had a hard time sticking to New Year's resolutions in the past, try to use a month-to-month approach for your more difficult resolutions, such as getting regular exercise, writes Gladys Edmunds. "A day or two before the upcoming new month, evaluate how things have progressed and if all looks well, keep going for another cycle," she writes. Meanwhile, use a yearlong approach for your more enjoyable resolutions, she writes.
