Report reveals higher obesity rates in young adults

A report by the National Center for Education Statistics indicates that the overall obesity rates in young adults ages 18 to 24 increased from 13.4% in 1999 to 16.3% in 2008. However, researchers also found that 44.2% of 18- to 24-year-olds in 2008 were slightly less likely to never perform intense exercise, a decrease from 44.9% in 1999.
