Cable groups want to be part of the discussion on violence

The National Cable and Telecommunications Association and the American Cable Association are among the TV industry groups that, in the aftermath of the mass school shooting in Connecticut, have pledged to take part in a national conversation about violence. "The cable industry takes very seriously our role in American culture and looks forward to participating in the collective discussion," the NCTA said.
