Calif. pilot recognized for lifetime achievement

As a former captain of the Alameda County Sheriff's Air Squadron, Bob Tucknott of Pleasanton, Calif., flew hundreds of hours in his Cessna on search and rescue, disaster relief and law enforcement missions. Tucknott also has long been a volunteer for Angel Flight and many other organizations. "When it looks like a good thing, I join it. There's more to life than work," Tucknott said. Cheri Cimmarrusti, associate executive director of Angel Flight West, nominated Tucknott for the Pleasanton Weekly's Lifetime Achievement Award.
