AH&LA official speaks out on TRIA

Congress recently voted to extend the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act, which was due to expire at the end of this year, for another two years and President Bush is expected to sign it. The American Hotel and Lodging Association lobbied hard for the extension, and Kevin Maher, AH&LA's vice president of government affairs, said that without the insurance, "hotels risk not being able to develop properties or get approval for funding from banks."
