Survey: Distributors shift strategies to weather economic slump

According to a report by RSM McGladrey, U.S. wholesaler-distributors have altered their business strategies in response to the economic downturn. More companies have focused on increasing their brand recognition this year versus 2007, while the popularity of mergers and acquisitions as a growth strategy has waned during the credit crisis.
