14 HIT products receive CCHIT certification for "meaningful use"

The Certification Commission for Health IT has granted "meaningful use" approval to 14 additional health IT products, including ambulatory EHR systems and an e-prescribing technology. The CCHIT will be "announcing new certifications regularly so providers can begin to consider EHR technology that demonstrates compliance with the proposed federal standards," said Alisa Ray, the commission's executive director.
