Comcast continues to roll out DOCSIS 3.0 broadband in Calif.

Comcast is introducing DOCSIS 3.0-powered broadband to 27 more communities in northern California, an initiative it began earlier this year in and around San Francisco, Monterey-Salinas and parts of the state's Central Valley. As with those previous rollouts, the superspeedy service comes in two tiers: Extreme 50, with download speeds of up to 50 Mbps, and Ultra, which boasts peak downstream speeds of 22 Mbps.
