Deaf educator serves as an inspiration to students

Students of Cathy Oshrain, a Miami-area teacher who is deaf, say she is "an inspiration" to her students. Oshrain teaches popular high-school courses to hearing students, covering three levels of American Sign Language and a class for students who are interested in careers as interpreters. She also helps her students better understand deaf culture. "She shows us that we can do anything we put our minds to," one student said.
