American requests delayed launch of Tokyo Haneda service:

Citing traditionally slow February bookings, American Airlines is seeking Transportation Department approval to delay new service from New York to Tokyo Haneda by more than a month. Service was scheduled to begin Jan. 31, but American has requested a new start date of March 1. Delta Air Lines also was scheduled to launch Haneda service in late January but has already won approval for a delay.
