ASCE to co-host Panama Canal 2012 world infrastructure congress

The Panama Canal Authority partners with the American Society of Civil Engineers to co-host the inaugural Panama Canal 2012 International Engineering and Infrastructure Congress. The congress will convene experts in structural, civil, geotechnical and electrical engineering. "This Panama Canal Congress will highlight one of the great engineering accomplishments of the world," says Andrew Herrmann, president of ASCE. "The Canal exemplifies the important role and contributions of infrastructure to society."
