Tenn. group to study new teacher-evaluation system

Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam has appointed an advocacy group to review the state's new system for evaluating teachers amid concerns by some legislators that it is being implemented inconsistently. The group, SCORE, will consider how well the system is working by gathering feedback from teachers and administrators. The group also will study the relationship between teacher ratings and student test scores, with a final report due to the state by June 1.
