Vicks launched a mobile campaign that taps Google Flu Trends, which tracks flu outbreaks nationwide in near real time, to promote a thermometer for children. The ad, displayed on Pandora and other popular applications, appears only in regions where flu incidence is high. It then directs the user to the nearest retailer offering Vicks Behind Ear Thermometer.
