More consumers are using their mobile phones, particularly Apple's iPhone, to surf the Internet, according to research conducted by O2, which is said to hope the iPhone's popularity will greatly boost mobile advertising. The research company Informa predicts that the market for mobile ads will reach $11.3 billion by 2011.
