Obama, Duncan must make NCLB improvements top priority

President-elect Barack Obama and his pick for Education Secretary, Arne Duncan, must make the overdue reauthorization of No Child Left Behind a top priority. this opinion piece says. While Obama has promised billions in new funds for education during his campaign, there some fixes to NCLB that will not have a billion-dollar price tag, including the creation of national standards for student achievement.
