Online physician group tests FluMonitor tracking ability

Sermo is testing how well 100,000 physicians in its online community can track and even prevent infectious disease using its FluMonitor technology. The system allows physicians around the U.S. to report clinical observations in real time, quickly alerting health officials of disease hot spots. Sermo says the technology could be used in the future to track tuberculosis, HIV and Staphylococcus.
