Warren speaks out, gets props from Etheridge

Evangelical pastor and marriage-rights opponent Rick Warren, who is scheduled to give the invocation at the presidential inauguration, said at the Muslim Public Affairs Council convention that it isn't necessary for him to be in complete agreement with President-elect Barack Obama to be involved in his swearing-in ceremony. In related news, out singer Melissa Etheridge, who appeared at the same event, writes that Warren believes "every loving relationship should have equal protection" and that he deserves a second chance as part of the LGBT community's outreach to Christians.
